My Story

It doesn’t seem that long ago that my life totally lacked purpose and meaning. Without being aware of it I procrastinated and self sabotaged the daily events of my life. I used to over think every situation and every potential opportunity was an excuse to over think and talk myself out of doing what it would take to make huge change and move forward. I wanted to change, to move forward and to succeed but the harder I tried the more resistance I came up against and the easier it was for my mind to give in to the rising emotions of stress and anxiety; which led me to give up and remain in my comfort zone. I had reached a level in my life, like so many others, where I had a level of success and abundance but now found myself feeling stuck without direction. I just knew deep down that I was meant for so much more than I had become!

I was bullied at school. I never fitted in and always felt different. I lived most of my life  feeling unworthy and not good enough. To make up or compensate for these feelings of inadequacy, lack of self esteem and low confidence levels I developed coping strategies which included putting on a front to disguise my issues. These became the many faces of me designed to hide the way I felt inside. I was too proud to admit to anyone, including myself, that I might need external help. To be honest I really didn’t think anyone would be able to provide me with help. So I decided I needed to help myself.

From my late teens I studied self help books, practiced yoga, pranayama breathing, and for most of my adult life I have studied meditation, tai chi and chi gong. I persued all these activities to help bring positive change in my life and help balance my emotions and mental wellbeing. After doing years of studying and practicing many different types of meditation, I became really good at implementing coping strategies for myself and I knew as long as I did my daily positive balancing routine I would be able to cope with the stresses of my life.

It really was not until I decided to study hypnotherapy that things really started to change in a positive way for me. I read a book by Jose Silva on hypnotherapy and then completed the Silva technique live course. After the course I started practicing self-hypnosis, which is so very similar to meditation, except it goes a stage further. Self-hypnosis is a form of dynamic meditation where you can use the powerful brain states to instruct yourself with positive suggestions at a subconscious level which can reprogram your mind. I was so very impressed with the results I was getting. The game changer for me was when I managed to use self-hypnosis to cure myself from  migraines and headaches that I used to get. So instead of using pain medication I would use self-hypnosis to deal with the pain. I remember thinking one day if I can do this with hypnosis what else is possible? This is really brilliant. My research into hypnotherapy lead me to a Rapid transformational therapy practitioner who did my first RTT session. It really was an incredibly profound experience for me where I got to the route cause of why I felt completely stuck in my life. My first RTT session confirmed for me that I wanted to learn to become a RTT therapist so I can help others overcome their life issues and experience the same rapid empowering change that I had experienced.

I am a Rapid Transformational Therapist because I love helping people solve their problems and help them transform their lives. I do it because the process worked for me and I know it will work for my clients.

When you inspire, connect and empower others, doing what you are meant to be doing, this gives you a purpose. When you really make a difference sharing your talents this gives your life meaning.
